Part 107 review course (Live Online)

FAA Part 107 Review Course – Live Online (Built for Public Safety Operators)

Become a Certified Remote Pilot — With Training Designed for First Responders

As public safety operations increasingly rely on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for search, rescue, incident documentation, situational awareness, and tactical support, having a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is essential. Our Live Online Part 107 Review Course is structured specifically to help police, fire, emergency management, and other first responder personnel pass the FAA knowledge test with confidence — and to understand how UAS regulations apply to the real-world missions you fly.

Why First Responders Need Part 107 Certification

Under FAA rules, anyone operating a drone for public safety missions that involves commercial use or reimbursed operations must hold a Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107). Understanding airspace, weather, flight rules, and risk management isn’t just about passing a test — it’s about keeping your team and the public safe in complex environments.

Whether you’re flying for fire scene reconnaissance, missing person search, law enforcement overwatch, or infrastructure inspection, this course helps you build the knowledge foundation you need to operate legally and effectively.

Course Format & What You’ll Get

This is a live, instructor-led online course — not prerecorded video. Classes are held over two 4-hour sessions via Zoom. You’ll interact in real time with an experienced instructor who knows both the FAA regulations and how first responders use drones in the field.

Included with your enrollment:

  • Two live online classroom sessions

  • A comprehensive 200+ page Part 107 workbook developed from FAA reference materials

  • Opportunity for questions, discussions, and scenario-based clarification

  • Support from experienced UAV instructors who emphasize safety first and real-world application

How We Teach It

Our approach goes beyond memorization. We break down the FAA’s extensive regulatory framework into understandable, mission-relevant concepts so you not only pass your exam but also apply the knowledge operationally.

Topics include:

  • FAA regulations and classifications

  • Airspace and controlled airspace requirements

  • Weather sources and interpretation

  • Emergency procedures and risk management

  • Airspace maps and sectional chart reading

  • Radio procedures and NOTAMs

  • Operating requirements, flight restrictions, and safe practices

This helps you build situational awareness, crucial when you’re planning or conducting an actual mission.

Safety & Professional Standards

Public safety flying is not an afterthought — it’s a responsibility. Our instructors are veteran pilots and educators who bring a safety-first mindset to every class. You’ll learn to think like a professional operator, not just a test taker.

DJI Uncertainty & Moving Forward

Many first responder agencies have depended on DJI drones for years due to their ease of use and reliability. However, federal legislation and regulatory actions may restrict new DJI products in the U.S. market if certain security reviews required under the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act are not completed by December 23, 2025. If the required audit does not occur, DJI could be added to the FCC’s Covered List, which would block new imports and future model approvals — a situation that could extend to firmware and parts availability.

What this means for you:

  • Existing DJI UAS you already own remain legal to fly under Part 107 as long as they are registered and you are certified.

  • New DJI equipment may become difficult to acquire or support for government and public use after late 2025.

  • Many public safety agencies are already transitioning to U.S./ally-made and NDAA-compliant platforms to ensure long-term support and data security.

For first responders, the Part 107 certification remains foundational, because it applies regardless of the brand of aircraft you fly. Earning your Remote Pilot Certificate now ensures you can operate legally with any compliant UAS platform — whether DJI, Skydio, or other approved systems — and positions your agency to adapt smoothly to regulatory and technology shifts.

Who Should Take This Course

This course is ideal for:

  • Law enforcement UAS program operators

  • Fire service drone teams

  • Search & rescue coordinators

  • Emergency management and disaster response units

  • Public safety leadership planning drone integration

  • New UAS pilots preparing to support agency missions

If your operations rely on situational awareness from the sky — and require legal, safe, and effective UAS use — Part 107 certification is your first step.

Guarantee & Support

Our goal is your success. We teach for understanding, not rote memorization. If you don’t pass your exam on your first attempt, you may take the course again at no additional charge.

If you want to learn how to physically fly a Drone, our Drone Flight School course is given the weekend following the FAA Part 107 Review. We believe this gives the student a “ hands on” experience with a 10 year veteran drone pilot. You will learn how to operate a commercial drone with skill and confidence. Along with the basic flight skills, our students are also taught about the camera and the ability to shoot both digital photos and cinematography. It’s a great basic course to get your feet wet before pursuing a career as a professional drone pilot before and after the FAA Part 107 Test..
